The Juno AI™ smart home downlight from Acuity Brands is now compatible with the SmartThings ecosystem, an industry-recognized grouping of IoT technology reaching some 50 million consumers and weaving connected living technology into more than 5,000 devices including mobile phones, appliances, and TVs.
The patent-pending Juno AI is an LED downlight that integrates five technologies: SmartThings intelligence, Alexa voice service, JBL® speakers, lighting controls and LED illumination. The single ceiling light fixture allows a seamless, smart-home ecosystem. From dimming the lights to setting the mood with different color temperatures, the Juno AI speaker lights are seamlessly controlled via voice or the Juno AI, SmartThings or Alexa apps.
Juno AI lighting fixtures are the first products from Acuity Brands to integrate into the SmartThings ecosystem. Both companies will collaborate to develop and innovate additional smart home lighting solutions through the Acuity Design Studio, which encompasses industrial design, engineering and portfolio management resources.
Jeff Spencer, Acuity Brands Lighting vice president and general manager of Smart and Connected Devices, said, “This expansion with technology will continue to provide builders and contractors with an easy solution to deliver one advanced smart home application with simple installation.”
Juno AI received industry recognition earlier in 2020 by winning the IoT Breakthrough award for “Connected Home Lighting Product of the Year” by IoT Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization.
